Using for a client

We love working with designers, and that’s why our Standard Licence includes use for client projects. It’s our way of making things easy and seamless for you. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind:

  • The Candor Templates footer credit must stay live and visible unless you purchase a Credit Removal Licence.

  • Each client project requires its own licence. If you’re working on multiple client sites, you’ll need to purchase the template separately for each one.

What counts as a Client Project?

A client is simply anyone who isn’t you. If you’re using the template to create or edit a website for someone else, or if there’s any exchange of payment or professional collaboration, that’s considered a client project.

Here’s how we define it:

  • You’re being paid: Whether it’s a full site build or a quick refresh, any financial compensation qualifies the work as a client project.

  • You’re consulting: Providing strategy, advice, or input on someone else’s site counts as working on behalf of a client—even if you’re not directly editing the site.

  • You’ve hired someone: If you enlist a professional (designer, developer, etc.) to help with a website that uses our template, it’s considered a client project.

In essence, if the website isn’t entirely for your personal use and edited by you alone, it’s a client project.
