Template License

Each template purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-seat license to the template. If you need to install the template more than once, multiple templates must be purchased.
In short, 1 template purchase = 1 website only.
To clarify, each Squarespace template can be used for one website only. If you want to use the template for a different person, business, or website, you must purchase another license by purchasing the template again.

We understand that our templates may be used in various commercial projects, and we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you. However, we ask that you respect our copyright and intellectual property.
You may not, in any circumstance, claim or promote our website template designs as your own work. If you are purchasing a Squarespace template for use in a client project or any project where you will be receiving compensation (e.g. money), you must place/retain a credit to Candor templates with a live hyperlink to our website.
Proper credit can be given by adding a statement such as "Template/Design by Candor" in the footer or on the website's credits page with a live hyperlink to our website.
If you have multiple creatives that you are giving credit to, you may move our live credit hyperlink from the footer to a Site Credits page, however, the Site Credits page must be linked to in the footer.
You may add your own name alongside our credit if you wish, as long as the hyperlink to the Candor Templates website is maintained and it is clear that the original design is not being claimed.

Installation

Once you’ve hit purchase, we get to work. Your chosen demo template will be installed on a fresh new Squarespace 7.1 site and transferred straight into your Squarespace account.
Within 48 business hours, you’ll get an invite to your new site plus VIP access to the Launch Lounge, our exclusive vault of step-by-step video tutorials and guides.
From there, it’s all yours to tweak, tailor, and take live.
Yes! However, it depends on your website version.
To check your Squarespace version, log into your site and click Help in the left panel. If your website is built on Squarespace version 7.1, we can install the template on your existing website.
Simply add the "install on my existing site" add-on during check-out along with your template.
Our templates are hand-built design kits and therefore cannot be applied/transferred to another site. You cannot then apply the template to another/existing Squarespace site.
Your template will be installed within 48 business hours. The 48 hours do not include the day of purchase, weekends, national holidays or UK bank holidays.
For example, if you purchase on Friday, your template will be with you by the end of Tuesday.

Once purchased, installation options are final. If you wish to change your installation option, we are happy to provide a quote for additional installation time, as long as the template is still available in our store.

Of course! Each template purchase entitles you to 30 days of template-related email support from the day you receive your template. You'll also have access to Squarespace’s award-winning customer support.

Our support team can provide guidance on how to modify and adjust the template's design to suit your specific needs, such as adjusting font sizes or modifying a custom plugin.
We cannot provide support for anything that is not template-related. For example:

Template Requirements

All of our templates require the Squarespace Core Plan (formerly 'business plan’) subscription or higher at launch.
As a Candor Templates client you will automatically receive 25% off of your Squarespace Subscription (plus a free domain and professional email) if you choose to upgrade your new website to an annual plan within 30 days. This discount is not valid for existing site installs as it requires a new website to be created.
To fully personalize your site, you can add any content you wish.
However, to replace the demo content, you'll need to provide your own branding, photography, and copy. Additionally, if you want to change the site's colors and fonts, you'll need to select new options and create a color palette.
To download transparent PNGs, you will need Canva for Work. A free 30-day trial is available if you do not want a subscription.
All of our templates are built for Squarespace 7.1 and use Fluid Engine, Squarespace's brand-new editing experience.

Refunds and cancellation

Due to the digital nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds, returns or exchanges for any payments made after the template installation has been completed.
If you have not yet received your template installation, we may offer a partial refund but will subtract an installation fee for any work that has already been completed.
