I need support regarding subscriptions
Please note, that this is a Squarespace-related support topic.
We are only able to provide support for template-specific issues (e.g. colors, fonts, layout, design).
If you need support with a Squarespace platform-related issue that goes beyond customizing the template design, you can contact the Squarespace Customer Care team who are at the ready 24/7.
You can contact them at anytime here.
I have another site that is already upgraded
If you have an existing Squarespace website and currently have an active Squarespace subscription, you will need to upgrade the new site that we created and then cancel your existing subscription by heading to Settings > Billing & Account in your sidebar.
If you are on an annual Squarespace plan, you can try and contact Squarespace here and request a prorated refund for the site. Choose Billing and paying for Squarespace > Cancellations And Refunds > Cancel Service > Scroll down to chat.
See below for a template you can copy and paste into the chat:
“Hello, I want to move my subscription from my existing Squarespace website to my new Squarespace website. Could you please refund my subscription so that I can upgrade my new website? Thank you.”
Please note: Refunds are handled entirely at Squarespace’s discretion and aren’t guaranteed. While many users have had success requesting a prorated refund when switching sites, outcomes may vary depending on your account and subscription details.
Can I have more than three button styles?
No - Squarespace provides three global button styles — Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary. You can customize each one in Site Styles → Buttons, and choose which style a Button block uses in its settings.
How do I access a block’s settings?
Enter Edit mode, then either double-click the block or select it and click the pencil icon to open its settings.
In the live editor my vertical line isn’t full height — is something wrong?
Don’t worry — this is normal. The vertical line is a custom-coded element, so in Edit mode Squarespace may not render its final height. Once you Save and exit the editor, the line stretches to the full height of its block on the live page.
My text-link “button” isn’t showing as a button in the editor — is something wrong?
This is normal. In Edit mode Squarespace shows it as a regular text link; once you Save and exit edit mode, the live page applies the styling and it becomes a button.
Can I have multiple scrolling logo carousels on a single page?
No. Our plugin supports one scrolling logo carousel per page. Running more than one on the same page can cause initialisation and performance conflicts, so it isn’t supported.
Can I add multiple social accounts on my site (e.g., two Instagram accounts)?
Yes - for links/icons, you can add more than one profile for the same platform. Where the integration supports it (e.g., the Instagram block), you can display multiple feeds by adding separate blocks and connecting each one to a different Instagram account in the block’s settings.
Can I have multiple coming soon pages?
No. Squarespace uses a single, site-wide lock screen design. The Coming Soon lock screen and any page-level password prompts all share the same look and settings.
What’s the best way to test changes?
You’ll see your edits update live in the editor as you work, but the most accurate way to view your site exactly as visitors do is to use an Incognito/Private window.
Keep the editor open in one tab, and your site open in an Incognito/Private tab. Make your changes, click Save, then refresh the private tab to see the true live result.
Can I set different spacing for just one page?
Yes - adjust section padding and block layout on that page’s sections. per-page spacing is controlled at the section/block level.
How can I quickly spot spacing issues?
Toggle the grid (G), scan for misaligned edges, and do a desktop → mobile pass. If something’s tricky, duplicate the section as a temporary backup, experiment on the copy, and keep the version that feels best.
I don’t have a Mega Menu — can you create one for my site?
Yes! Only some of our templates include a Mega Menu out of the box. If yours doesn’t, we can add one for you as an add-on — we’ll install, configure, and style it to match your site (desktop and mobile). [Install a Mega Menu on my site].
Does the Mega Menu work on mobile?
Yes - on mobile it typically collapses into the standard hamburger menu. The folder item becomes tappable and reveals the panel content in a stacked layout.
How do I test my forms without going live?
Keep the site in trial or use a site-wide password, submit a few test entries (desktop and mobile), and confirm they appear in your chosen Storage destination.
Can I add a custom font?
Squarespace doesn’t natively offer a built-in custom font upload, but it is possible if you’re comfortable using CSS code. If you’d prefer us to handle it for you, you can [purchase a custom font upload here].
I can’t find my Style Guide - what should I do?
Every one of our templates includes a Style Guide page as standard. If you can't find your style guide (it should be in the not linked section) it’s likely been deleted by mistake. Unfortunately, once a page is deleted there is no quick way to restore it. We can re-create it for you via a manual reinstallation service — [purchase a style guide re-install here].
My page is greyed out/invisible in my site menu, what does that mean?
It’s hidden - the site owners/admins can still open, view and edit the page, but visitors can’t access it (even with the direct URL). To show it again, open Pages and in the page settings (cog icon) toggle on ‘enable page’.
I can’t see my new page in the site navigation — where is it?
It’s likely in the Not Linked area or tucked inside a folder. Open Pages, check Not Linked at the bottom (and expand any folders), then drag the page into Main Navigation to make it appear in your site header menu.
My site layout looks different when editing than in the live view - is that normal?
Yes, don’t worry, this is normal. The editor doesn’t always load custom code exactly like the live site, so spacing and alignment can look a bit different while you’re editing. Once you click Save in the edit window, the layout will snap back into place on the live site.
